BENTONVILLE AND NORTHWEST ARKANSAS COMMUNITY INFORMATION

Located in the Ozark Mountains, the city of Bentonville is a place like no other, a place made up of ideas, innovation and inspiration. The community is no longer just known as the corporate headquarters for Walmart, this town of 49,467 boasts a bounty for visitors and residents alike. Art, food, music, cycling, history and forward thinking abound in this Northwest Arkansas town. In Bentonville, culture, commerce, and adventure collide. Some of Arkansas’s most prized museums are found here: Crystal Bridges, The Walmart Museum, Scott Family Amazeum, and 21 C Museum Hotel.

Bentonville’s famous downtown area is the pulse of the city, consisting of travel-worthy art, award-winning culinary, and some of the top mountain biking trails in the state. Named the “Mountain Biking Capital of the World” - Bentonville lives up to this name with its countless, award-wining trails. The area’s most popular parks include Orchard Park, which is where the Independence Day fireworks and summer concerts are held each year, and Lawrence Plaza, which hosts First Friday Movies each month. Lawrence park also has a splash pad during the warmer months out of the year, and an ice-rink through those cold, winter months.

The town is also recognized for its amazing educational programs. Bentonville is home to many (public and private) primary, elementary, junior high, and high schools. Bentonville is also home to the North West Arkansas Community College.
